Science Fair

Students in grades 1-8 can choose to do an exhibit project about a subject that interests them. Exhibits can include collections, models, demonstrations, pictures, and facts. 

Students should be prepared to discuss their topic and what they learned with the judges. 

Students in grades 3-8 may do an experiment following the scientific method. Students need to submit a written report describing their hypothesis, methods, results, and conclusions 1 week prior to the
Science Fair for judges' preparation.
 

Students will present their experiment to the judges at the event.

Only 7th and 8th grade students doing Experiments are qualified to potentially move on to regional competition

Students may work on their own or with a partner. Presentation times will be staggered and students attend only for their appointment to allow social distancing.

Experiment rubric includes scores for presentation, display, and report. 7th and 8th grade students with Experiment Projects which receive Outstanding Gold Level will advance to the regional science fair.

Students may setup their displays on Friday, January 24 from 6-8pm.

Trifold presentation boards are available to purchase from local stores like Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Michaels, Hobby Lobby.
